Last night, Northeast Middle School proudly hosted our Living Legends Museum Family Event in celebration of Black History Month! Families were welcomed with beautiful performances by our talented choir students, setting the tone for an inspiring evening. 🎶 After the opening performance, parents toured the hallways as they were transformed into a “living museum” filled with powerful stories and remarkable leaders. Our students truly brought history to life! Standing beside their trifold displays, they shared information about influential Black leaders — some even stepping fully into character to portray their historical figure. From engaging presentations and digital displays to music that honored their leader’s legacy, the creativity and dedication were incredible to see. The evening concluded just as beautifully as it began, with another moving performance from our choir members. We are so proud of our students for their hard work, confidence, and passion in sharing the impact of these legendary figures. Thank you to all of our families who came out to support this meaningful celebration of learning and culture. ❤️🖤💛

This is the last week in February, time is truly flying by and we are enjoying every minute here at NEMS. We have a super busy week. We have dress up days for FFA week. We have Living Legends Night Thursday evening. Please make sure if you have a 6th Grader planning on going on the Sea World trip that all money is turned in 2/27. Rising 7th and 8th graders will be doing registration this week during the last class period of the day.,

Our middle school tennis team did a great job in Valdosta on Thursday. Our boys' team beat Lowndes Middle and Hahira Middle. The boys' team is undefeated this season with a 5-0 record. Kai Folds, our #1 singles player, is undefeated, as is Jett Arant, our #3 singles player. Both of our boys' doubles teams are undefeated as well. Our #1 doubles team members are Charlie Fletcher and Raghav Barman, and for our #2 Boys doubles team members are Will Fresh and JR Wise. Our girls' team has a record of 2-3. Caroline Tucker, who is our #1 girls' singles player, stands undefeated at 5-0.
