In General Horticulture and Plant Science students have learned about greenhouse designs. Each group was assigned a greenhouse style and researched frameworks, glazing materials, irrigation, cooling & ventilation, and heating options used in their design. Students then created a mini model of their assigned design selecting common household products that would mimic the materials used to build their greenhouse. Students will use their models throughout the semester to test environmental factors and develop management plans for operating a greenhouse business. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether
Floral Design and Management students are continuing to learn about tools used in retail floral shops while also learning about arrangements for special occasions. To practice utilizing different adhesives used in floral design students created floral pens that can be given as gifts for decorative writing. Students utilized floral stem tape and practice their taping techniques in this laboratory assignment. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether

🚒🔥 Exciting Opportunity for Our Work-Based Learning Students! 🔥🚒
We are thrilled to share that Emily Smith, Breanna Lamb, Wyatt Irwin, and Walton Slaven had an incredible experience touring the Tifton Fire Department! This hands-on opportunity provided these TCHS students with valuable insights into what it takes to begin a rewarding career as a firefighter.
A huge thank you to Chief Bennett and the Tifton Fire Department for offering our Work-Based Learning students the chance to receive firefighter training and certification while still in high school. With this program, students can take the certification exam as soon as they turn 18, allowing them to jumpstart their careers in this noble profession.
We are so proud of these students for taking this step toward their future and can't wait to see where their passion and dedication will take them! 🚒🔥 #WBL #TiftonFireDepartment #FutureFirefighters #TCHS #CareerReady #4theT #Tifton #CTAEdelivers #gacte

In Dr. Busbin's Introduction to Software Technology class, our students are stepping up as leaders in their learning journey. This week, they dove into introductory programming, choosing between block and text coding. With student-led instruction at the forefront, volunteers are guiding their peers by tackling coding assignments in front of the class. Peer learning is thriving as classmates support one another, ensuring everyone progresses together. The classroom may be buzzing with activity—what some might call chaos—but it's a dynamic environment where engagement and learning are at their peak! And yes, a little candy from the incentive jar sweetens the deal for their efforts! 🍬 #StudentLeadership #PeerLearning #EngagementInAction #GuidingEachOther #InnovativeClassroom #CS4ALL #CS4GA #4theT #CTAEdelivers
