Who says math has to stay inside? Today, Mrs. York's math class took learning outdoors to draw number lines with chalk and practice ordering and comparing rational numbers!
Hands-on learning + fresh air + sidewalk chalk = engaged students mastering math concepts in a fun, creative way. Sometimes the best classroom is right outside our door!

NEMS and TCHS FFA members joined together to bring poultry, livestock, and other small animals for the students of Matt Wilson to enjoy a fun and educational petting zoo experience! 🐥🐰
FFA member Mary Ella Bowen and FFA advisor Dr. Jamie Wise had a wonderful time working with the students and their families.
We are so proud of our FFA members for sharing their love of agriculture with the community and helping students learn more about farm animals! 🌾💛
Our 6th grade Earth Science students had a delicious time learning about moon phases today with the classic Oreo lab!
By carefully twisting, scraping, and arranging their Oreos, students created each phase of the moon - from new moon to full moon and everything in between. This hands-on activity makes a complex concept both fun and memorable (and tasty!).
Who knew science could be so sweet? Great work, 6th graders!
