📽️A 4-student team in Mr. Saturday's Video Broadcast/A/V Technology class competed in the Georgia Movie Academy Video competition. The competition is a digital storytelling competition sponsored by the Chattahoochee-Flint RESA. and recognizes student work in the area of video production and storytelling. It is a project-based learning opportunity that allows students to work in teams to produce a theme-based, standards-based, three-minute video on a topic of their choice. The competition is for student teams in grades K-12 and concludes with a regional gala event in March and a state awards ceremony in May.
Congratulations to Emmanuel Barrios, Gracie Harsey, Mackenzie Jackson, and Ava Morey for winning the regional competition! Good luck at the state competition!

The phenomenonal Chef Vanessa Hayes (Tift County School Nutrition Director) presented a lesson on Food Tells the Story of Life to the young men and women of The Distinguished Gentleman's Club and Lady Devil Dolls of Northeast Middle School. Some of the key takeaways were situational awareness, leadership, don't judge a book by its cover (taste tests get to know people) and ultimately life is what you make it and you get out of life what you put in it. This was eloquently illustrated through building a pizza. This was made possible by Principal Jennifer Johnson, Mrs. Vanessa Hayes, Mrs. Regina Rogers (Sponsor of the Lady Devil Dolls), Dr. Leamon Madison, Mr. Hunter Gaskins, Mr. Jathon Harris and Mr. M. Joseph (all Sponsors of the Distinguished Gentleman's Club).
