💻GMAS Testing is quickly approaching! *All students will take the ELA GMAS on Tuesday 4/16, Wednesday 4/17, and Thursday 4/18. *All students will take the Math GMAS on Tuesday 4/23 and Wednesday 4/24. *8th Grade students will take the Science GMAS on Thursday 4/25. *8th Grade students will take the Social Studies GMAS on Friday 4/26. Please be present and bring your Chromebook fully charged. The GA Milestones Assessment (GMAS) is a state-mandated assessment that assesses student proficiency. 🌘 The eclipse inspired us to celebrate our teachers today because "working together totally rocks"! Our staff enjoyed MOON pies, COSMIC brownies, SUNkists, SUNchips, CapriSUNS, and ORBIT gum. Our future looks bright with teachers like these at NEMS! 🏛️2024 T.A.L:K! Capitol Trip🏛️ In March, our T.A.L:K! class took a visit to the Capitol and got to meet Senator Carden Sumners, Georgia State Representative Penny Houston, and Georgia State Representative Clay Pirkle. We got to learn about some of the procedures and processes that take place there as well as meet Director at the Office of Governor Brian P. Kemp Jody Redding. Our students also got some time to explore the Capitol on their own! We then made a stop at The Varsity for a bite to eat after all that learning. 🐇Our NEMS school parents sponsored and created the most special Easter Egg hunt for our teachers! Each teacher received an egg with a prize inside. It was so much fun to spread some Easter cheer and bring a smile to faces of our dedicated teachers. Yesterday, our amazing parents also provided baked potatoes for our Sunshine luncheon with BBQ from Wisham Jellies.
