Our 8th graders had an electrifying time in Mrs. Curtis's physical science class this past Friday!
Students dove hands-first into energy transformation labs, experimenting with radiometers, glowing chemical reactions, and powerful electromagnets.
Watching their faces light up as they discovered how energy changes from one form to another - but never disappears - was pure magic!
This is exactly the kind of engaging, hands-on learning that makes STEM come alive at Northeast Middle School.
Way to go, scientists! Keep exploring and discovering! ⚡🧪

Students reviewed the parts of the cell while enjoying hot chocolate. Our teachers found a creative way to combine cell biology review with a cozy treat - and the students loved it!
Thanks to our amazing 7th grade teachers for making this special learning experience possible!

The purpose of the SSAC is to provide students with opportunities to serve as representatives of their schools and as a collective voice for the Tift County Schools student body.
Through their participation, students will:
• Share ideas and perspectives
• Provide input on various aspects of the student academic experience
• Gain a deeper understanding of how our school system operates
We look forward to the valuable contributions these student leaders will make during the upcoming school year.
