Varsity Football: @ Richmond Hill Friday, October 4th Lowndes (home) October 11th. (Senior Night) Colquitt (home) October 18th. (Pink out/Youth Night) There will be no 9th/JV games this week. Varsity Softball: ( No Change) @ Colquitt on Tuesday, October 1st DH vs Colquitt (home) on Thursday, October 3rd. Volleyball: Tomorrow’s home game has been canceled. The Region Tournament will be Saturday at Colquitt (10am) Cross Country: (No Change) Tift Invitational from last Saturday will not be rescheduled. Middle School Football: 6th & 7th vs Thomas County - moved to Thursday, October 3rd at TCHS Mini Stadium 8th will play at Thomas County on Thursday Middle School Softball: The region tournament will not be rescheduled. Because our girls were #1 in region, they have been declared as the Region Champion. #4theT

Good afternoon! This is a reminder of our student meal pickup tomorrow. Please understand that due to federal school nutrition regulations, students must be present in order to pick up a meal. Each bag will include a hot lunch and a shelf stable breakfast. Distribution sites will open at 9:00am and meals will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. Meals can be picked up at the following locations : 📍 Annie Belle Clark Elementary, Charles Spencer Elementary, G O Bailey Elementary, J T Reddick Elementary, Matt Wilson Elementary, Omega Elementary, Brookfield Baptist Church and TyTy Baptist Bags will include a hot lunch and breakfast, and they will be available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. After communicating with Georgia Power and Colquitt EMC regarding the status of the restoration of power and with EMS regarding the condition of roads, we feel it is in the best interest of our students and staff for all Tift County Schools to remain closed on Monday and Tuesday. We are keeping our students, staff, families and community in our thoughts and prayers as clean-up efforts continue. Throughout the weekend, we will carefully assess road conditions and power restoration at our facilities to determine if we can resume normal school operations on Monday. Families will be notified with updates late Sunday afternoon. #4theT

Through a partnership with Southwell, all Tift County Students, Staff and Retirees can be seen for non-emergent/sick visits at the clinic at 8th Street Middle School Monday-Friday from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Having a clinic within our school campus provides a convenient option for our staff and students when ill. *Children must have parental consent to be seen. #SafeTyFirst #4theT

The 7th Grade Football team had a great game in Valdosta with a 30-0 victory this afternoon! Unfortunately, the 8th grade game was canceled due to the rain. #4theT

The Middle School Softball team faced their first loss today, falling 8-0 against Coffee. However, they bounced back strong, winning the second game 4-3! The playoffs begin at home this Tuesday at 4:30. Let’s show our support! #4theT

All athletic contests scheduled to take place today on the campus of Tift County High School have been canceled. Middle School Volleyball has also been canceled. Middle School Softball will still play their game at Northeast and Middle School Football games will still be played in Valdosta. Practices will proceed as scheduled. #4theT

☀️See You at the Pole is a student-led event. Our NEMS FCA did a great job hosting this morning.☀️ Students at schools all across America annually gather at their school's flagpole on the fourth Wednesday in September for See You at the Pole to pray for their schools, friends, teachers, government, and nation.

In addition to all the existing safety and security measures in place, Tift County Schools has been researching and obtaining pricing for metal detectors. Currently, we are in the process of ordering metal detectors, once on hand they will be installed at our secondary schools. #4theT

After communicating with the National Weather Service and the local Emergency Management Agency we have determined that weather conditions predicted for our area are not suitable for the normal course of operation. As a result, all Tift County Schools will be closed Thursday, September 26th and Friday, September 27th. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Please stay safe and follow local weather updates. We will continue to provide further information as needed. #4theT

Our system security officers work to be a positive influence in our students' lives. They build trust with our students to make sure they feel safe and supported. One example is Officer Seay at Matt Wilson, she is taking time to help this student with basketball skills. #4theT
