💻GMAS Testing is quickly approaching! *All students will take the ELA GMAS on Tuesday 4/16, Wednesday 4/17, and Thursday 4/18. *All students will take the Math GMAS on Tuesday 4/23 and Wednesday 4/24. *8th Grade students will take the Science GMAS on Thursday 4/25. *8th Grade students will take the Social Studies GMAS on Friday 4/26. Please be present and bring your Chromebook fully charged. The GA Milestones Assessment (GMAS) is a state-mandated assessment that assesses student proficiency. 🎤The Tift County 8th Grade Chorus and One Voice traveled to Douglasville, GA on April 13th to compete in the Music in the Parks. The group won 1st Place with a SUPERIOR RATING in the Middle School Division and won the Overall Award with the highest vocal score. Congratulations!

🌟CAREER EVENT for Distinguished Gentlemen's Club, Lady Devil Dolls, and I.V.Y. There is a renowned adage which says, “It takes a village to raise a child…” That was very beautifully manifested on the morning of Saturday, April 13, 2024. What actually occurred was a blending of efforts spearheaded by Dr. Madison (Grade 7 Vice Principal: Northeast Middle School), in partnership with Annie Belle Clark Elementary School, Chef Vanessa Hayes (TIFT County Schools Food & Nutrition Director), and other school and community leaders and professionals. The IVY Girls (sponsored by Kappa Alpha Tifton), Lady Devil Dolls, and Distinguished Gentlemen’s Club (sponsored by Northeast Middle School) met at Annie Belle Clark Elementary to become duly informed from professionals and leaders in their varying fields about the nuances of their professions (what inspired them to aspire to that field, the challenges and rewards of being there, how can our youth use their current educational experiences to become such a productive part of our community were just a few of the poignant questions our young scholars posed to the guests (Ph.D retiree, a cosmologist, an attorney, a physician and a chef all volunteered their time to grant exposure and spark an interest in their professions. Thank you to our Tift County community for helping us ‘raise our children'!

👩‍🏫T.A.L:K! Education Day👩‍🏫 For our T.A.L:K! Education day we toured Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Southern Regional Technical College! At ABAC we got to learn about their schools of arts & science, business, nursing, and agriculture. We also learned about what ABAC offers when it comes to clubs, student life, and much more! After that we got to take a tour around campus. At SRTC we learned about their programs such as carpentry, welding, design, cosmetology and more! We also got to tour SRTC and some of the students even got to try their hand at a welding simulator! Thank you to both of these schools and all the educators that shared their time and knowledge with us today! We are glad our students get to explore higher educational opportunities near them and begin thinking about their future.

🌘 The eclipse inspired us to celebrate our teachers today because "working together totally rocks"! Our staff enjoyed MOON pies, COSMIC brownies, SUNkists, SUNchips, CapriSUNS, and ORBIT gum.
