💙 A fresh start with class conversations at NEMS! 💙 A new semester means new goals, new opportunities, and important conversations! At Northeast Middle School, leaders launched the semester by connecting with students through grade level discussions centered on success. All students received reminders on how to be their best, including:
📘 Academic expectations & testing taking responsibilities
✏️ Being prepared and staying organized
👏 Positive behavior
🤝 Respect, responsibility, and making smart choices
We believe every Blue Devil can succeed, and we’re committed to helping students grow—academically and behaviorally—this semester and beyond. Let’s make it a great one, Blue Devils! 💙✨

Tift County middle and high school students now have access to ESE Mental Health for high-quality mental health services.
Through this partnership, students will have increased access to licensed mental health professionals who can provide counseling and support —right here in our school community. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of every student and to creating safe, supportive environments where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are grateful for this opportunity to work together in supporting the whole child.
Thank you GaDOE for listening to our concerns and acknowledging the importance of providing service opportunities to our students in need. We hope to expand this service to all students in the near future.
For additional information, please contact your school principal or school counselor.

🎄🕵️‍♂️ The Case of the Mischievous Elf 🕵️‍♀️🎄 Our NEMS Christmas Celebration brought learning to life with The Case of the Mischievous Elf! 🎅✨ Sixth grade ELA students examined evidence against Elf Colson, crafted oral arguments for and against the accused, and presented their cases to our 8th Grade jury members. With The Honorable Judge Huffman presiding over the trial, students showcased critical thinking, collaboration, and public speaking skills. What a memorable way to blend learning and holiday fun at NEMS! 🎄💙

🧑‍⚖️🎄 The Trial of the Elf is in session at NEMS! 🎄🧑‍⚖️ Who is causing chaos in the school? 🤔 Students carefully listened to evidence, analyzed facts, and wrote supportive claims with reasonable evidence to argue their case in the trial of Colson vs. Tillman. Critical thinking, collaboration, and holiday fun filled the classrooms with teachers Slade, Harvin and Thompson ! The big question remains… Who did it? 👀⚖️ #NEMS #TrialOfTheElf #CriticalThinking #StudentVoice #HolidayLearning
