Our 6th grade Social Studies students in Ms. Bryan’s class explored the science behind Earth’s seasons through a teacher-led demonstration!
Using a globe and a light source, Ms. Bryan demonstrated how Earth’s tilt affects the way sunlight is distributed across the Earth throughout the year. 🌍🔦
Students analyzed the demonstration to describe how the distribution of sunlight changes throughout the year and how those changes affect the seasons. 🍂❄️🌸☀️

🌱 Our NEMS FFA Land Judging team traveled to ABAC to put their knowledge of soil science, conservation, and land use to the test—and they did an amazing job! 💙💛🌱

They also evaluated conservation practices that help protect soil and water while making the best use of the land. 🌎🌱

Our 7th grade ELA students in Mr. Mitcham’s class put their critical thinking skills to work! 🧠📖
Students created a T-chart graphic organizer to answer the question: “How does the text differ from the interview?”
They compared an interview about Mom & Me & Mom by Maya Angelou with the text of the book, looking closely at how the two versions presented information. Students discovered that the text provided more descriptive details, giving readers a deeper look into the story and its characters.
What a great way to practice comparing sources, identifying details, and supporting ideas with evidence from the text!👏📚

There was even a little friendly competition! 🎉 The first class to correctly identify the Mystery Reader earned a treat!

The Devil Dollar Cart is a special way to celebrate students who go above and beyond for their fellow classmates, teachers, and staff. Our FBLA officers helped make the experience fun and rewarding while demonstrating leadership, teamwork, communication, and customer service skills along the way!
