💙 A fresh start with class conversations at NEMS! 💙 A new semester means new goals, new opportunities, and important conversations! At Northeast Middle School, leaders launched the semester by connecting with students through grade level discussions centered on success. All students received reminders on how to be their best, including:
📘 Academic expectations & testing taking responsibilities
✏️ Being prepared and staying organized
👏 Positive behavior
🤝 Respect, responsibility, and making smart choices
We believe every Blue Devil can succeed, and we’re committed to helping students grow—academically and behaviorally—this semester and beyond. Let’s make it a great one, Blue Devils! 💙✨

The Blue Devil Way is to attend school every day!
Can’t be there? Make us aware.
📞📧 Contact your school by phone or email.
This flow chart is designed to help parents understand attendance expectations by explaining:
✔️ What counts as an excused vs. unexcused absence
✔️ What truancy means
✔️ How schools respond to unexcused absences
Being informed helps families support student success—because every day counts.

Tift County middle and high school students now have access to ESE Mental Health for high-quality mental health services.
Through this partnership, students will have increased access to licensed mental health professionals who can provide counseling and support —right here in our school community. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of every student and to creating safe, supportive environments where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are grateful for this opportunity to work together in supporting the whole child.
Thank you GaDOE for listening to our concerns and acknowledging the importance of providing service opportunities to our students in need. We hope to expand this service to all students in the near future.
For additional information, please contact your school principal or school counselor.

🧑⚖️🎄 The Trial of the Elf is in session at NEMS! 🎄🧑⚖️ Who is causing chaos in the school? 🤔 Students carefully listened to evidence, analyzed facts, and wrote supportive claims with reasonable evidence to argue their case in the trial of Colson vs. Tillman. Critical thinking, collaboration, and holiday fun filled the classrooms with teachers Slade, Harvin and Thompson ! The big question remains… Who did it? 👀⚖️ #NEMS #TrialOfTheElf #CriticalThinking #StudentVoice #HolidayLearning
