🥤➕📐 Arithmetic Sequences in Action! Students in Mrs. Beavers’ classes took math off the page and put it into action! Students explored arithmetic sequences by stacking Styrofoam cups into different patterns and putting their problem-solving skills to the test. And to say these students were ENGAGED would be an understatement! 👏🔥 Students were given just four minutes to build the longest end-to-end cup pattern they could—without it tipping over. The record? An impressive 11 cups! 🏆🥤 Activities like this turn mathematical concepts into hands-on challenges that encourage students to think, experiment, adjust, and try again—all while having a little friendly competition along the way! 📍 Visitor Parking: Visiting fans should use the parking lot located across from the field house. The lot can also be identified by the multiple gate-box entrances directly in front of it.

🕕 Gates Open: 6:00 PM

🎟️ Tickets: HOCO uses a cashless ticketing system. Tickets must be purchased through GoFan. Credit/debit card readers will be available at the gates, but cash and physical ticket purchases will not be accepted.

🚫 Outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the stadium.

🔥 Our chapter is growing, connecting, and preparing for the future! 🔥

Our Tift County CTI students had a great time at Georgia CTI Pre-Employment Training with Dr. Tift! Students spent time learning about core values and exploring the questions: Who are you? What do you do? What makes you tick?

This lesson gave our students an opportunity to get to know one another, discover the values they share, and learn how understanding our values can help us better handle the situations we face throughout life.

We were amazed to discover that our chapter’s top five shared values were Loyalty, Peace, Family, Freedom, and Independence!

What a great way to build connections, strengthen our students, and prepare them for success beyond high school. The future is bright for Tift County CTI, and we are looking forward to an incredible year!

🌎🧳 Bringing History to Life at TCHS! 🇺🇸 Students in Coach Earls’ and Coach Smith’s classes stepped back in time with an interactive activity exploring immigration in the 1880s! Each student took on the role of an immigrant, determined their port of origin, and worked through questions similar to those immigrants encountered when arriving at Ellis Island and Angel Island. 🗺️📜 This hands-on activity gave students a glimpse into the immigration experience while helping them better understand the challenges, decisions, and processes immigrants faced as they entered the United States. 🌻 Fall Blue Devil Blooms is officially underway!

A big thank-you to our wonderful subscription holders for supporting our floral design program! Today, our first arrangement was delivered through our partnership with our CTI program as part of their community service project, giving students the opportunity to practice communication and real-world workplace skills.

Our Floral Design students also created their first subscription arrangement! They learned how to create a clear-tape grid in glass vases and reviewed how different flowers and foliage come together to create a finished design.

Be on the lookout for next month’s arrangement! And if you missed out on the fall subscription, stay tuned later this semester for a chance to join our Spring Blue Devil Blooms subscription! 💐

Greetings. The deadline to register for the fall ASVAB administration has passed. However we will offer the ASVAB test again in the spring.We will post registration information in early spring.

If you registered to take the ASVAB for the fall administration (which means you have completed the Google Form online) the ASVAB will be given this Friday, October 2nd at 8:30 here at TCHS. Please arrive at the school no later than 8:00 a.m. Bring your chromebook fully charged along with your charger. When you arrive at school, please report to the media center. We will escort you to your testing classroom from there. You will not need to bring anything (no calculator needed either). The test can take up to 3 hours long, so you will be NI for first and second block if you have one here on campus. If you are Dual Enrollment or Work Based Learning first and/or second block, please make arrangements to be here to complete the test. We will see you then. Thanks

🧪🔬 FORENSIC SCIENCE IN ACTION! 🔬🧪 Students in Mrs. Alexander’s and Mrs. Staines’ classes got a hands-on look at the science behind breathalyzer tests! Using mouthwash as part of the experiment, students explored how a breathalyzer detects alcohol in a person’s breath and learned about the science involved in analyzing the results. This interactive lab gave students the opportunity to take concepts from the classroom and see how they connect to real-world forensic science applications. 🕵️‍♀️🔎 Hands-on learning makes science come to life! 💙 #TCHS #ForensicScience #HandsOnLearning #ScienceInAction #BlueDevilPride
