
💐Our FFA Floriculture team competed Friday at the Albany Fair! They placed 4th as a team. Anna Cate Day was the 3rd high individual & Baylee Spradlin was 5th overall out of 40 juniors! This was their first time competing & was perfect practice for FFA Area CDE on Nov 14.


🎓 In celebration of the 95% graduation rate, Tift County High School provided 🧁 cupcakes to all staff and students at NEMS today! We are all partners in setting students in our county up for educational success!

Swim season started with the first middle school meet at Coffee yesterday. The boys finished 1st and girls finished 2nd.
Middle school has a home meet this Thursday, Oct 26th and Varsity has their first meet this Saturday, Oct. 28th also at home. #4theT


During the Georgia Association of Middle School Principal’s Fall conference awards ceremony, Mrs. Ariel Wilson was recognized as the Georgia National Outstanding Assistant Principal. Mrs. Wilson was also recognized during the National Awards ceremony as the state of Ga recipient this summer in National Harbor, Maryland. Thank you Mrs. Wilson for representing our district and school so well. Your hard work is appreciated.

In September, several students participated in the Jr. BETA Club Induction Ceremony! The Jr. BETA Club is an invitation-only program that recognizes high academic achievements. Jr. BETA Club members will participate in leadership and volunteer activities.

🔓Students throughout the school have been practicing logic, observation, and critical thinking skills along with content knowledge as they escaped #BreakoutEDU locked boxes in 6th Grade SS Map Skills, 7th Grade Math 2-Step Equations, and 7th Grade SS Southwest Asian Governments!











🥧During this activity, Mr. Harvin's 6th Grade ELA students were able to make "Author's Purpose P.I.E." Each slice of the pie represents what an author's purpose could be when they write!

Students in Careers have been learning and researching about the Architecture and Construction Career Pathway. 8th graders had the opportunity to spend the morning with David Lee and Lara Eubanks learning the ins and outs of Short and Paulk. They got to listen to employees talk about Human Resources, Finance, Dispatching, Manufacturing, and Construction.

☎️One of our community partners, Kadway Haulers, played Caller Number 5 with our teachers today on our morning news. Ms. Delk was Caller Number 5 and correctly answered a trivia question. She won a gift and will also hold the trophy until next week's Caller Number 5 winner is named. Thank you for appreciating our teachers and adding a little fun to our Friday!


👨🍳 Recently, students in Ms. Webb's 6th grade math classes got to tap into the real-world by going to Safari Restaurant and buying items off the menu! This allowed them to solve real-word situations by adding and subtracting decimals.

The 2023-2024 8th grade T.A.L.:K students started their series of events with a great kickoff at Tifton's Coca Cola plant. Students had the opportunity to hear a motivational speech on leadership by Dr. Tonja Tift. Students then enjoyed lunch provided by Your Pie. After lunch, students broke into groups for a fun team-building event of following a portrait to create halloween pumpkins out of a pallet of soft drinks. During the activity, Coke employees took each group on a tour of the entire plant. Students are looking forward to their next event!
