🏅At the end of November, our Jr Beta Club traveled to the State Convention in Savannah to compete in a wide range of competitions ranging from painting to quiz bowl. Shout out to the follow students that placed in the top 10 in their competition:

🐮Miss Fitzgerald Teen Emma Pittman visited 6th grade ag classes! Emma is active in her FFA Chapter, shows livestock, & competes in various CDEs. She also wrote a short story about her dairy cow Maggie available on Amazon. Thanks Miss Emma for sharing FFA's impact on your life!

A select group of burgeoning middle school young men were accorded an awesome opportunity on Friday, December 1, 2023. They got to meet a gentleman who, because of his build, stature, and deportment, and because of the passion and conviction with which he spoke to them, were absolutely convinced that he was either in the “military, a business owner, a football coach, or a police officer.”
It truly was amazing to see that even though Mr. Jamie Hill, who is one of the general managers of a multimillion dollar paper mill (which actually harvests 2.2 million tons a wood yearly), and a dedicated school board member serving District 4 for the past several years, was as passionate about spending time with those young men as he would be in regards to the successful company he manages.
He issued admonitions, i.e., “Mrs. Johnson, Dr. Madison, Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Rice, your other school leaders, and I, we know where the land mines are - you don’t have to step on them! Trust us to guide you.” Conversely, he offered averments, i.e., “People want to be led - be a leader! Lead them!”
This visit will certainly serve as a highlight of their experiences for this school year. The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Club, which is the brainchild of Dr. Madison, sincerely thanks you, Mr. Jamie Hill!
