The Georgia Department of Education has announced the 2021 4-year cohort graduation rates and Tift County has exceeded their goal by obtaining a rate of 91.37%. This is a 5 percentage point increase from last year. This increase is credited to a renewed focus on student success, stronger partnerships, and positive school culture.
Georgia calculates a four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate as required by federal law. This rate is:
- The number of students who graduate in four years with a regular high school diploma, divided by
- The number of students who form the adjusted cohort for the graduating class
Graduation is a culmination of all learning PreK - 12 and we give credit to all system employees for this success. Dr. Chad Stone's motto "Better Today Than Yesterday" was a driving force behind achieving this goal. Together we will continue to Relentlessly Pursue a Culture of Excellence in all Tift County Schools.
