Tift County hopes to offer Information Technology Pathway Courses at NEC and TCHS. Courses in these pathways count as a foreign language if the student takes a second and third level course in the IT pathway (In other words Introduction to Digital Technology does not count), counts as a science elective for graduation and college entry, counts as a math elective for graduation, and counts as a CTAE elective. To help increase enrollment, the board of education recently voted to allow IDT to count as the computer course needed for graduation. This gives students the option to enroll in IBT or IDT.
In order to offer the course, we need at least 20 students to enroll.
Make sure you are one of those students!
