In the Armed Division we placed: 4th in Armed Color Guard, 5th in Armed Inspection, and 5th in Armed Exhibition Drill.
In the Unarmed division we placed: 4th in Unarmed Inspection, 4th in Unarmed Regulation, and 5th in Unarmed Exhibition Drill.
We also placed 3rd in Dual Armed Exhibition Drill with Cadets Antonio Martinez and Christian Arnold. There were a total of 12 competitive teams. Our Drill Team Commanders were: Carmen Springer, Mellisa Rockmore, Harley Pinnix, and Ben Hickman. A top notch job to all!
Note: This school year we have lost a total of 12 seasoned drill team members due to a number of different reasons. About one-third of the team we took up to State this year was comprised of 11 ninth graders. A first for GA-051 JROTC. These ninth graders and other individuals who were new to the team stepped up to the plate, faced the challenged and made a difference for the best. The teams we competed with were seasoned teams. I am very proud of the GA-051 ROTC Drill Team because of their heart and character they exhibited this weekend!
