Tift County Schools holds 2019 REACH Scholarship Signing

Five Tift County 8th grade students signed a REACH Scholarship today at a ceremony held at Eighth Street Middle School. REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Hap-pen) Georgia is a scholarship that begins in 8th grade. REACH Scholars are paired with a mentor and an academic coach through high school. Scholars must maintain good grades (2.5 GPA in core courses), behavior and attendance through middle school and high school. Upon successful completion of the program, qualifying students earn a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year for up to four years) towards your educational costs at a University System of Georgia or Technical College System of Georgia institution or an eligible private post secondary institution.

Eighth Street Middle School: Caitlynn Burgess, Arianna Corona and Jesus Urbina
Northeast Middle School: Vanessa Mota and Daniel Soto
